Having completed a season-long loan deal to take Derry City goalkeeper Pat Jennings to the Showgrounds, Sligo Rovers manager, Paul Cook, is planning to "put the final pieces in the jigsaw" to complete his squad in the coming weeks.Cook is hoping to add at least a centre-back and a midfielder to a new-look panel which sees Jennings join Chris Butler, Anto Murphy and Sean Doherty.
Sligo Rovers are please to announce that Keith Foy hase signed for the 2008 season whilst Gavin Peers has extended his current contract to the end of the 2009 season.
Sligo Rovers retuned to training last Friday as they begin preparation for the 2008 season which begins in less than six weeks time.
Anto Murphy, Chris Butler and Sean Doherty all joined up with their new team mates as well as youngster Levi Tierney and trialist Alan Moore. Rovers play their first pre-season friendly against Collaney in their ground on February 9.

Sligo Rovers will take on St Patricks Athletic at Richmond Park in their first fixture of the 2008 Eircom League season on March 7th. It will be a difficult start to the season for Paul Cook's side as they take on three of the main title contenders in the first month of the season.
Donegal under 21 international, Seamus Coleman has committed his future to Rovers, signing an extension to his current contract that will keep him at The Showgrounds until the end of the 2009 season.
