Connor still under contract as Gorman takes charge against Shels |

 Following Sean Connor's surprise resignation on Friday last (Nov 3) before the UCD game, the club's Management Committee met on Sunday to consider their options.
Arising from that meeting, the following statement was issued by the club:
Sligo Rovers Football Club wish to announce that Sean Connor has tendered his resignation as manager of the club. He is contracted to the club until the end of the 2007 season and until this matter is resolved the club will make no further statement.

Sligorovers.com has since learned that in Sean’s absence, Assistant Manager, Gareth Gorman, will take charge of team affairs for tonight’s clash with Shelbourne.
