Active ImageIt ain’t over until it’s over and that’s never been truer than tonight (9 Feb), as Conor O’Grady put pen to paper to sign for Sligo Rovers for the forthcoming season.

Following last gasp negotiations between the club, Conor and Conor’s employers, Union Foods, the local talisman was unveiled at a press conference in the Radisson Hotel.

Delighted at the news, O’Grady thanked Chairman, Michael Toolan, manager, Rob McDonald and Union Foods for reaching a compromise that will see the former under 21 international being released by his employers for training sessions.

It wasn’t all about O’Grady though, as Rob McDonald introduced Piotr Bajdziak , a former under 17 Polish International winger who made his debut for Rovers in the friendly against Swinford at the weekend.

Off the field, Rovers were delighted to announce that Sinead Fraher will be taking up the role of Club Promotions Officer.

More details of Sinead’s appointment and the new singings can be seen here.
