Active ImageAfter a week of drama in the Showgrounds that some argue has put the clubs preparations for the new season in turmoil, it's back to the bread and butter of the eircom League of Irelandon Friday night in Galway.
As the season draws ever closer the excitement at the trip to Terryland Park this Friday increases as caretakers Leo Tierney and Dessie Cawley take charge.

The game should be in front of a capacity crowd with both Galway and Rovers hopeful of fully selling both of their allocations for the Connaught Derby. The team news favours Galway with Tony Cousins’ side having a full fit squad while Rovers are without the services of goalkeeper Richard Brush, midfielder Brian Cash and the suspended Choice Aisien.

Having appointed a new managerial team it is unclear how many players Rovers will give a competitive debut to or indeed what formation the team will line out with. With no available striker Adam Hughes and Raf Cretaro could both be leading the line together or individually. Cretaro played last season for Galway United and the Tubbercurry man will no doubt be looking to shine on his return to Terryland.

Tickets for the game are still on sale in the Showgrounds for the game, Thursday 9am-5pm and on Friday
