Active ImageRovers exciting winger / striker, Brian Cash will be like a new signing when he makes his comeback, hopefully in June. He talks to club promotions officer, Sinead Fraher about the frustration of his lay off and the important things in life.

Twenty four year old Brian is from Portmarnock in Dublin and signed to Rovers from Derry last season during the transfer window. Unfortunately, due to a cruel knee injury Brian has only managed to play five times with the Bit O’Red but is currently going through rehabilitation work on his knee which he admits he is finding very frustrating.

He got a taster of what the Sligo Fans were like last season but despite the good wishes and support he gets on match days, he still is finding it difficult to take his place in the stand. However, the long wait looks to be nearly over as he hopes to be available again for selection in June. Active Image

Those fans who witnessed his performances last season will realise that it will be like having a new signing and he’s already chomping at the bit to show new manager, Paul Cook what he can do.

Although Brian has expressed his frustration at not being able to do what he loves, he has other far more positive things happening in his life at the moment. Although he says that he loves living in the Sligo area, he is always on the road visiting his baby daughter Ceallach who is a few months old. She will no doubt be cheering on her Daddy when he gets back to full fitness again.
