Gavin Peers was good when he played at right back last season, but it's fair to say he has been a revelation at the heart of defence in the 2007 season. He speaks to Club Promotion's Officer, Sinead Fraher about his experience to date in the North West.
Peers has come into his own since being switched to centre half this season. His performances have been second to none and are testament to his impressive football CV having played for Blackburn Rovers and Mansfield Town. This is Gavin’s second season with Sligo Rovers and he is already a firm favourite with the Sligo fans, always displaying a positive attitude when it comes to every game. ![]() Originally from Glasnevin in Dublin, the young Dubliner is really enjoying the laid back atmosphere in Sligo. Gavin has been playing professional football since he was 16 and he has seen many positive changes to the Eircom League of Ireland since he has come back from playing professionally in the UK. He is proud to be playing in a league where there is such a high standard of football. |
