Although Seamus Coleman is only 18, the Killybegs-born youth has already had a taste of playing for his country having played for Ireland at under 18s level. This international recognition was more than he deserved and many believe that the under 18 national squad is a taste of what's to come. He speaks to club promotions officer, Sinead Fraher.
Seamus signed with Sligo Rovers in July 2006 and he is really enjoying playing for the club in what is his neighbouring county.
He has always enjoyed football but can’t believe that his talent has led him to pursue his dream of playing professionally. He gets on extremely well with his team mates and is particularly happy that he gets such a good reception from the crowds. When he is not raiding down the opposition wing on his way to another ‘Man of the Match’ accolade, Seamus indulges in his other passion of playing golf. |
