Sample ImageThe sending off of Seamus Coleman after seventy minutes of Sligo Rovers game against Bohemians proved to be the turning point in Dalymount Park. Bohemians clinically capitalised on their numerical advantage as they scored three times inside a fifteen minute spell. Coleman was issued a straight red after sliding in hard on John Paul Kelly although the punishment seemed harsh given that he won the ball.

Up until then Rovers had been the better side and looked on course for at least a point. They had two great chances to score with both falling to Fahrudin Kudozovic. His first opportunity came in the 15th minute when he got to the end of a through ball from Keith Foy got in behind Bohs captain Owen Heary only to see his resulting shot hit off the crossbar. He had another great chance in the 54th minute. This time he got to the end of a diagonal through ball from Rafael Cretaro only to be denied by a great full stretch stop from Bohs keeper Brian Murphy. Then came the sending off of Coleman and five minutes later Bohs took the lead.

They won a free kick on the left which was rolled across by Chris Turner to Conor Powell and his first time left foot shot from twenty yards flew into the top corner. Two minutes later and they doubled their lead when Heary played a ball through the middle which came to Darren Mansaram who got in between the two Rovers centre-halves and shot low past Richard Brush. Rovers had a chance to pull a goal back in the 79th minute as Foy curled in a free from the right and Matthew Gordon stuck in at the back but his close range header was touched onto the crossbar by Murphy. Bohs then made sure of the points with their third in the 85th minute. Ryan McCann played a good cross-field ball from left to right into the path of Mark Rossiter. His blistering shot flew into the net despite the best efforts of Brush.
