 This is a plea to all Rovers fans everywhere. With strict new guidelines relating to expenditure and income levels coming into force in the Eircom league, participating clubs will need to greatly increase their incomes to compete at the higher end of the league.Sligo Rovers need support from you the public now more than ever, particularly with the new changing landscape within the Eircom League and the fact that clubs up and down the country are now changing and improving not only on the pitch but most of all, off it. Sligo Rovers is a community based club and is a Brand name which has carried the name of Sligo around the world, we may not be a Celtic or a United but we have a club we should all be proud of. The more people pull together the more that can be achieved and for our club, the sky is the limit with a little hard work and dedication. The love for Sligo Rovers is far reaching and so many people crave for success for our club, but to push on and carry The Bit O’ Red into the future more needs to be done. If you feel you can help out in any way at all through either fund raising or helping out on match nights please contact the Club. There is always something to be done so don’t be afraid to make the move to come on board. The Club would love to see new faces getting involved and becoming a members of the Co Op. You can make difference by joining and getting YOUR vote at the A.G.M. The more new faces, the more new and fresh ideas we will have to improve our great club. By becoming a member you can directly get involved in the day to day running of the club by going forward and getting elected to the management committee - it's up to you. In a new drive to get more people on board it has been decided to make it easier for you to become a member before the next A.G.M and have voting rights on the night. The rules of the Co Op stipulate that a member must have one third of their membership paid in order to fully participate at the meeting and so if you join the Co Op now and pay the one third necessary and sign up to the easy pay method through your bank, the club will give you a 2008 season ticket in return as a welcome gift to you.
