Sligo Rovers have announced two further fundraisers in the coming weeks. First off is a quiz night in the Belfry on Tuesday, August 5 followed by a Texas Hold 'Em in the Adelaide Casino on Sunday 10 August.The sports table quiz on Tuesday next will be held in the Belfry, Kennedy Parade, from 8.30pm. The quiz is being organised by quizmasters Robert Cullen of the Sligo Weekender and Keith O’Dwyer of Sligo Rovers. It will appeal to sporting fans and will have rounds on a wide range of sports. Admission costs €20 for a table of four. Texas Hold Em The Adelaide Casino will be hosting a special Texas hold-em tournament on Sunday August 10th to support Sligo Rovers fundraising campaign. Each player will get a €10,000 starting stack. There is a 25 minute play clock and there will be professional dealers at each table. The cost of entry is €100 along with a €30 registration free. 100% of the prize pool will be paid out with the registration fee going to Rovers so make sure to arrive early to get a seat! The tournament is limited to 100 players with an estimated prize pool of €10,000. Membership of the casino is required and it is free but a valid id is required. The tournament is to begin at 4pm but the Casino will be open from 2:30 for registration.
