Rovers under 16s celebrate victory in the ConnachtSligo Rovers youth policy has reaped significant benefits in recent years, from success in the Connacht Cup at Under 16 and under 18 level, to regional success in the under 21 league

 

Our aim is to provide a regional focus for nurturing and developing the skills of players of all abilities and to provide a high-quality, and sustainable career path for the best players so that Sligo Rovers can perform and succeed at both National and European stages
Central midfielder Gary Curran has progressed from U16s to First Team in recent seasons
The clearest evidence of our success can be seen in Rovers first team squad which includes players from the North West region such as Gary Curran and Steve Feeney (both under 18 Internationals), as well as Jason McCartney and Sean Kelly. All young professionals who have come through the under-age ranks in recent years availing of Sligo Rovers first class facilities to advance their careers to the highest level.
