Rovers under-19s extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 2-2 draw against league-leaders Derry City at the Showgrounds.
The Bit o'Red made the better start and were in front on 15 minutes. Winger Martin Walsh moved in from the right hand side and hit a shot past the keeper to the far corner.
But Rovers couldn't hold the lead to half-time as a long ball over the top was latched onto by Gareth McFadden and he lifted the ball up and over Jack Burke in goals to score for the Candystripes.
Early in the second half Derry then took the lead. On 53 minutes Georgie Kelly was on hand to get their second goal.
After 73 minutes Liam Flatley, scorer of a hat-trick for the first-team during the week, brought Rovers back on level terms.
Paul Doyle picked him out with a pass and Flatley hit the ball home to make it 2-2.
That was how the game finished with thre result guaranteeing the Bit o'Red will finish the season in sixth place in the Elite Northern division.
