Sligo Rovers under-19s continued their impressive start to the season with a third win in a row by beating Drogheda United 2-1.
The away win follows wins against Finn Harps and Letterkenny Rovers and puts the Bit o’Red second in Section 3.
Both goals came in the first half, the open from Gary Armstrong.
Former Derry city player Chris Flanagan played him through and he finished his third goal this season on 31 minutes.
The second goal came eight minutes afterwards. Liam Flatley found left winger Jason Hunt and he found the net with a nice finish.
Drogheda got a goal back with 15 minutes to go from a penalty given away by returning defender Oisin Connolly but Rovers were always on top in the game and seen it out.
Rovers are still four points adrift of leaders Harps with four games remaining but second place would guarantee a play-off spot.
Next is Derry City coming to the Showgrounds this Sunday at 2pm.
