Sligo Rovers under-19s gained their first point of the new season by getting a 1-1 draw away to Derry City.

Derry went in front after just 11 minutes through Stephen Mills when his right wing cross looped into the goal.

Ciaran Kelly's team earned a point with a second half penalty coolly converted by Gary Armstrong after 73 minutes.

Next is another away game with a trip to Dundalk. The game will be in Oriel Park at 2pm on Sunday.
