Sligo Rovers under-17s produced a remarkable win in their biggest game of the season on Saturday afternoon in Cork.
A 2-1 win with goals by Liam Kerrigan and Gary Higgins earned the win in Bishopstown over Cork City.
The victory puts Rovers through to the semi-final stage of the SSE Airtricty League play-offs.
Cork City had topped the Northern Division and not been beaten all season.
Tubbercurry midfielder Kerrigan scored first after 14 minutes with a shot right into the bottom corner from outside the box.
A penalty six minutes later for the hosts got them level and that is how the game remained through half-time until the final 10 minutes.
Mayo forward Gary Higgins, the leading scorer for the team recently returned from a foot injury produced the match-winning score.
The draw for the final four will be made this week.
