Sligo Rovers under-17s exited in the semi-finals of the first ever Mark Farren Memorial Cup.
It took a narrow loss, 2-1 away to St. Patrick’s Athletic, to end Rovers successful run in the competition.
After conceding the first goal Ruadhan Feeney got the Bit o’Red level in the game but the winner came for the Saints in Blanchardstown early in the second half.
They will go on to play bohemians in the tournament’s final.
Rovers will go back to league action with a win next weekend at home to Athlone Town in the final weekend of the regular season required to ensure qualification to the end of season play-offs.
