Shelbourne next up for Rovers

After two matches in Dublin over Easter, Sligo Rovers chase a seventh league win in succession this year against Shelbourne this Saturday in The Showgrounds.

So far Rovers have won all eight competitive games in 2013, earning a five point lead at the top of the Premier Division and reaching the Setanta Cup semi-finals. In total including friendlies, 46 goals have been scored by the Bit o' Red.

In competitive games, a goal has been scored on average every 31 minutes. Two goals have been conceded in 720 minutes of league and cup action.

Almost 5,000 people have passed through The Showgrounds gates in the two league games for enthralling nights in our home venue against Bray and Limerick.

This Saturday’s match is another tough test for Ian Baraclough’s men.

Danny Ventre made a return to action in the UCD Bowl in a boost to Ian Baraclough's options in midfield, while Iarfhlaith Davoren also featured as he comes into contention to increase competition on the left side.

Full team news will be posted on www.sligorovers.com tomorrow ahead of a big, big night in The Showgrounds. Join us at 7:45pm.
