Club sends wishes to Summerhill

The Summerhill College Under 19 soccer team are playing in the All Ireland Final at Home Farm FC on Wednesday at 3pm.

There are eight Sligo Rovers under 19 players in the team and the club would like to wish all the team the best of luck in the final with CBS Sexton Street of Limerick.

Entry to the game is open to any supporters in Dublin that may wish to attend.

Sligo Rovers chairman Tony Quinn said: "On behalf of the club I would like to congratulate the team on their progress so far and wish them the best of luck on Wednesday. It is a tremendous achievement and we are all proud of the players that have represented the club and the school so well this season.

"There is a long-standing relationship between Summerhill and Sligo Rovers, reaching the All-Ireland final is a major boost for football in the region and we are 100% behind them on Wednesday in the decider."

*Update - the final has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and will be rescheduled for after the Easter holdidays.
