Rovers face Bray Wanderers on Saturday

Sligo Rovers play their first home match of the Airtricity Premier Division league season when Bray Wanderers visit on Saturday in The Showgrounds, kick-off 7:45pm.

The Bit o’ Red are looking to match a club record of four straight wins to start a season which was set in 1978/79.

Rovers won three in a row during the season three times in 2012, and have started with that run this season against Glentoran (2) and Derry City.

Last night Rovers were 3-0 winners against Glentoran with Lee Lynch, Raffaele Cretaro and Liam Martin on target.

Ross Gaynor, Gavin Peers, Joseph Ndo, Iarfhlaith Davoren and Aaron Greene were just some of the Rovers players that missed out in The Oval last night and they will hope to be in contention on Saturday for the match with the Seagulls.

Anthony Elding was an unused substitute and he has scored in his first two games of the season and the last player to complete three was Paul McGee in the 1975/76 season.

His strike partners Cretaro and Martin netted against Glentoran to stake their claim to Rovers boss Ian Baraclough.

Bray Wanderers won their first league game of the season as they saw off Shelbourne in the Carlisle Grounds.
