Team news for Mervue game

Sligo Rovers face Mervue United in the second round of the EA Sports Cup on Monday night in The Showgrounds, kick-off 7:45pm.

Ian Baraclough will have the same squad as for last Saturday's postponed fixture with Dundalk. 
 
Gavin Peers and David Cawley will serve one-game suspensions with Danny North, Seamus Conneely and Ciaran Kelly unavailable.
 
Baraclough said: "We were all disappointed by the postponement on Saturday. Unfortunately nothing could be done, the incessant rainfall made it impossible for the pitch to cope and it was a very simple call for the referee to make. Preparations had been superb all week and we are glad to have the game on Monday to be able to take it into. The suspensions for David and Gavin will carry forward so that will obviously influence our selection. 
 
"We were in Finn Park on Friday night to watch Mervue United against Finn Harps and look at the challenge that they will pose us. They will come to Sligo feeling they have nothing to lose and it is up to us to go and win the tie. The players will be itching for a game after the cancelled fixture and we hope to see that in the performance."
