Family season tickets on sale

Over the next couple of weeks we will be looking at 10 reasons to Back the Bit o'Red in 2015. First we look at our family season tickets and our efforts to make matchdays at the Showgrounds good value and as enjoyable as possible.

Sligo Rovers take pride in providing an enjoyable matchday experience for the whole family. The Showgrounds caters well for families, with food, tea, coffee, shop and excellent bathroom facilities, along with numerous excellent offers throughout the year to give families an enjoyable day.

This year, Sligo Rovers are offering family season tickets, in order to give families the best value possible. A family season ticket for one adult and one Super Red costs just €230 before Christmas, and €265 afterwards. A season ticket for one adult and two Super Reds will cost €260 before Christmas, and €300 thereafter. For two adults and one Super Red, a season ticket will cost €420 before Christmas, and €480 later. Finally, a 2015 season ticket for two adults and two Super Reds will cost €440 before the 24th of December and €500 later.

The Super Reds is Sligo Rovers' junior supporters' club, set up in 2009 for kids under the age of 12. Super Reds' season tickets will cost just €40 before Christmas, and €45 after. Every Super Red will receive a signed birthday card from their favourite player, three one-hour coaching sessions with Rovers coaches and players, a 10% discount voucher to be used in a single transaction, and a photo opportunity with club mascot Benny the Bull. The Super Reds are sponsored by Supermacs.

Every season a game is designated as ‘Super Reds Day’. This year it took place at our game against Derry City in June. All Super Reds were treated to a goodie pack on the night. It contained a complimentary t-shirt, team poster, snacks, drinks, an activity sheet, a pack of Sligo Rovers cards and a €5 voucher for the club shop.

This year we also designated a series of games as 'family fun days'. These were hugely successful, and even saw visits from Benny's friends Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Such days included events such as face-painting and activities for children, while a number of children received free ice-cream for being extra early for a game during the scorching hot weather. Due to the huge success of these family days, it is hoped that a number of similar events will be held at the Showgrounds during the new season.

On top of these offers, local clubs are invited each week to bring their underage teams to The Showgrounds to play on the pitch at half-time. Children are also invited to act as ball boys and ball girls throughout the season. Over the course of the year Rovers players and management also made visits to 18 youth clubs in the Sligo-Leitrim district putting on coaching sessions for the young boys and girls.

From our family section and season tickets to family fun days and club visits, we hope that matchday at The Showgrounds in 2015 will be thoroughly enjoyable for you and your family.
