Rovers U19s 2-3 Pat's U19s

Sligo Rovers U19s suffered their eleventh league defeat of the season as they were beaten 3-2 by St Patrick's Athletic at the Sports Complex in Cleveragh on Sunday evening.

Curtis Murphy opened the scoring for the Saints as early as the eighth minute, but Rovers' Jordan Loftus netted the first of his brace to level the game. Pat's recaptured the lead on 73 minutes courtesy of Peter Hopkins before Sam Verdon effectively put the tie to bed on 73 minutes to make it 3-1.

Loftus scored his second of the game two minutes into injury time as he reacted quickest to Liam Flately's shot which was parried away by the Pat's goalkeeper.

Rovers' next game is a re-arranged Elite Division clash at home to Shamrock Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

Rovers: Murphy; Glennon, Boylan, Taheny, Donnellan; McManus (for Clarke 89), Kilcawley (for Nevin 85), Flately, Armstrong (for Casey 64); Loftus, Brennan.
