Showgrounds awaits Europa League clash

Sligo Rovers will face FK Banga on Thursday night in The Showgrounds at 7pm in the Europa League first round second leg decider as the Bit o' Red go in search of European history.

A 0-0 draw in Gargdzai leaves the tie well-balanced going into the return fixture in Sligo on Thursday.

Rovers have only ever win a single European tie, the Cup Winner's Cup clash with Floriana in 1994, and have never recorded victories in the UEFA Cup and Europa League.

Manager John Coleman and his squad will look to win the game with Banga and secure a place in the next round to break new ground for the club.

It will require a massive effort to try and do so and The Showgrounds will be ready for what could be one of the great nights in the 86 years that it has been our home.

The Showgrounds is open in daytime hours Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for ticket sales. Adults prices are €25 and children €10.
