Team news for St Pat's game

Sligo Rovers meet St Patrick's Athletic in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division on Friday night in Richmond Park.

The Bit o' Red saw off Limerick last weekend in the league and are hoping to make ground on the top four in the division with a win in Dublin 8.

In team news, Raffaele Cretaro (calf) is absent with injury but the prognosis has improved and he could return this season.

Jeff Henderson has had surgery on a foot injury and will be out for up to six weeks.

Iarfhlaith Davoren has re-joined the club and has trained this week. John Russell is also available after missing last week's game with Limerick.

Sean Maguire could be in contention after his loan deal from West Ham was extended. The club are awaiting clearance to feature on Friday.

John Coleman said: "We showed great character last week to get three points against Limerick. I was pleased with that and how we persevered.

"We go to Richmond Park looking for the win first and foremost. I think we have to win the game with our hopes of European football in mind so that is what our mindset will be."

Davoren has made the switch back to the club while Regan Donelon and Ruairi Keating have signed professional terms this week. Kieran Djilali, Joseph Ndo, Ross Gaynor and Aaron Greene have left the club.

Coleman confirmed that he is monitoring the market in England for potential signings with out of contract players still available until 31 August, but said it must be the right addition for the club.

"We are looking but I'm not going to bring in a player for the sake of it. It has to be someone who we feel is right."

Kick-off is 7:45pm in Richmond Park.
