Call-ups for Boylan and Flatley

Two Sligo Rovers players have been called up to the Republic of Ireland underage squads this week.

Gary Boylan has been called up the Republic of Ireland Schools squad to face England at Ashton Gate in Bristol on Friday.

Ireland recently played their opening match of the Centenary Shield in The Showgrounds, losing 2-1 to Northern Ireland, and now face England in the second match in which the former Erris United man will be part of the squad.

Boylan has been one of the outstanding players from the Sligo Rovers Under-19 side this season and has been signed on professional terms for the SSE Airtricity Premier Division campaign.

Meanwhile Liam Flatley has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-18 squad for matches with Czech Republic next month.

Flatley scored his first goal for the Bit o' Red this month on debut against Crusaders in the Setanta Sports Cup after impressing for the Under-19 side.

The club congratulates Gary and Liam on their call-ups.
