Youth league visits in 2014

From the start of the 2014 season Sligo Rovers in conjunction with the Sligo Leitrim youth league undertook an initiative to have the Rovers management and players more involved with the underage teams participating in the youth league.

As a result, 18 of the 20 Sligo Leitrim clubs have had the opportunity to be special guests at one of our home games. This involved providing Mascots, ball boys/girls as well as participating in five a side half time games.

Rovers management and players also visited most clubs, where they held coaching sessions, as well as giving photo opportunities with the FAI and Setanta Sports cups.

Sligo Rovers would like to thank all the local club secretaries and coaches for their help and co-operation with this initiative during the course of the season.
