New officers appointed

 

Sligo Rovers can announce three new officers of club's management committee today.

As the Bit o' Red enter an important time with the appointment of a new manager, agreement of club budgets and the assembly of a squad for next season, a change in officers to improve continuity for next season has been agreed. 

The aim of the new officers is to smooth the transition process to the incoming officers for next season, albeit the exact identity of the 2015 management committee will not be known until after the Annual General Meeting.

Joe Burns is now chairman of Sligo Rovers, Robert Fitzpatrick is vice-chairman and Gary Loughlin is treasurer.

The new officers have agreed to be centrally involved in running the club until the end of the 2015 season. 

Dermot Kelly and Marcel Gordon, along with Mark Cummins, remain as officers for the current season.

Meanwhile, the club is continuing the search for a new manager. Interviews will be held with prospective candidates this week.
