Club update on first-team manager

Sligo Rovers can confirm that the process of appointing the club's new first-team manager is advancing, with a high level of interest in the post in the last week.

The club has invited formal applications to be made for the role over the next 10 days, concluding on Thursday 2nd October.

A sub-committee has been appointed under the chairmanship of Joe Burns to then progress the process, with Gerard Cassidy acting as advisor to the group.

The club will give time to find the most suitable candidate for the best interest of long-term future of the Bit o' Red with work already underway to achieve this.
