Match Report

Showgrounds stalemate between Rovers and Bohs

Owen Heary:

“Disappointed not to win the game. We played very well and created a few chances. We were positive on the ball, passed it better and I thought defended very well as a team. It would have been nice to get the goal but unfortunately we didn’t get it. Overall I thought it was a good performance.

“We are getting there. Young Gary Boylan’s for has been excellent and the same with Brushie and Dykes and Keane. I thought overall as a team defensively we were very good, the two lads in midfield and offensively we created a few chances. I though Sander was excellent and Morten, we just didn’t get that goal that maybe our play deserved at times. Positives from the game is that we are now unbeaten in three but the negative is that we didn’t get three points."

Stephen Folan:

“Bohs were a very hard team to break down, they are very organised. They worked very hard and you can see why they are up where they are at the minute. It’s just down to sheer hard work. Individually I don’t think any of their players are better than us just as a team at the minute they are doing a bit more than us so we have some standards that we need to push up and hope we can push up the table in the next couple of weeks.”
