15th season for Cretaro

 

Sligo Rovers are delighted to announce that Raffaele Cretaro has signed a new contract to stay with the club for 2016.

The club legend will be entering his 15th season with his home team.

The versatile Tubbercurry player passed the 500 career appearance during the past season and has played a total of 444 games for the Bit o’Red since his debut in 2000.

He scored twice in 2015 to take him to 70 goals with the club, the third most all-time behind Johnny Armstrong and Padraig Moran.

Already signed to join him in Dave Robertson’s squad are Gary Boylan, John Russell, Regan Donelon, Gary Armstrong and Micheal Schlingermann.

The signing was exclusively announced by fan John McGowan this morning who won our competition.
