Shams first in 2016

 

The fixture list for the 2016 SSE Airtricity League have been announced today pitting the Bit o’Red against Shamrock Rovers on opening night.

The game will be at The Showgrounds on Saturday March 5 at 7:45pm, that’s 73 days away!

Following that, Rovers will be away from home for the first time against Bohemians at Dalymount Park on Friday March 11.

The following week will see two local derbies at home for Rovers as Galway United visit on Monday March 14 and Finn Harps the following Saturday March 19.

The season ends at home to newly promoted Wexford Youths on Friday October 28. Our first ever visit to Ferrycarrig Park will be on August 5.

Rovers will be at home to Shamrock Rovers, Galway United, Finn Harps, Cork City, Longford Town and Wexford Youths twice and Bohemians, Bray Wanderers, St. Pat’s, Dundalk and Derry City once.

The first round of the EA Sports Cup will be on March 21/22 and Rovers will enter the FAI Cup in the second round on w/e May 22 with the draws to be confirmed in due course.
