Rovers draw Cobh Wanderers in FAI Cup

 

Sligo Rovers have been drawn against Cobh Wanderers in the third round of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup.

The Cork club, who play in the Munster Senior League, have been drawn at home.

It will be played on week-ending Sunday August 23rd with confirmation of the details to follow in the coming days.

Wanderers reached this stage with 3-0 win over Avondale in a replay in the last round, see more about the club here: http://cobhwanderers.ie/

The Bit o'Red advanced to this stage by beating another non-league club Crumlin United.

We were delighted to have the draw be held at The Showgrounds with the FAI AGM and festival of football being held in Sligo this week. Martin O'Neill was there with the Republic of Ireland manager drawing Rovers out of the hat.
