Team news: EA Sports Cup tie vs Mayo League

Sligo Rovers begin the EA Sports Cup campaign for tomorrow with a tie against Mayo League in the Showgrounds at 7:45pm.

Richard Brush is the only new absentee for the game joining the already injured Jeff Henderson.

The keeper injured his shoulder in a collision with Gavin Peers as he came to win a header in Saturday’s draw with Cork City.

An x-ray has revealed that he has not broken any bones but he will see a doctor later today to determine the full extent of the injury. It will keep him out for a minimum of a couple of weeks.

Owen Heary is looking to bring in cover while he is absent but there won’t be anybody signed in time for Tuesday’s game.

Morten Nielsen went off early also against Cork with a slight knock but he has fully recovered and joins an otherwise fully fit squad which also includes Eoin Wearen returning from suspension. The midfielder will be in line to make his Rovers debut.
