6th class in St Edwards National School Sligo, produced a play in IT Sligo last night with the theme being "Sligo Rovers in 2012".

We were delighted to visit the cast today and congratulate them on a wonderful production. Huge credit to everyone involved, and as a club we were honoured to be the theme of such a great initiative.

The main scene in the play was when Rovers lifted the league winning trophy for the first time since 1977....
Sligo Rovers would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family, friends and neighbours of Austin Langan, who passed away yesterday.

Austin was a member of the Sligo Rovers Trust Committee and was heavily involved in Merville Utd, organising an academy for the club every Friday evening on the Showgrounds Astro. Austin was well known for his love for Sligo Rovers and will be fondly missed.
