Under-19s win Section

Sligo Rovers have won Section 3 of the under-19 league and advance to the Champions Knockout Phase.

Rovers beat Finn Harps 3-0 away from home in Buncrana today.

Finn Harps went into the game on top of the league meaning only a win would be enough to top the section and that is what Ciaran Kelly and his team produced.

Chris Flanagan scored the first on two minutes from a cross by Brian Morley.

Just before half-time Gary Armstrong was fouled to win a penalty and he scored himself.

Late in the game Mikey Place put the finish to the win with the third.

It makes it a run of seven wins in succession and nine unbeaten for the team to take into the end of season play-offs.

Next weekend Rovers will at home to either Shamrock Rovers or Limerick in the quarter-finals, the draw will be Monday.
