Tommy Oates RIP

Everyone connected with Sligo Rovers has been saddened to hear of the passing of Tommy Oates.

The former Rovers goalkeeper passed away peacefully this week.

Oates was a Sligo local who joined the club in 1951. He played for the club until 1960 making 131 appearances in that time and was first choice keeper for five of those years.

We would like to pass on our sympathies to the friends and family of Tommy.
