Under-17s beat Salthill Devon

 

Sligo Rovers under-17s got a second home win in a row by beating Salthill Devon 2-1 at The Showgrounds.

James McGrath scored his first goal for the club which gave a 1-0 lead at half-time.

After an hour played the away team got one back to level the game.

With the game entering the closing stages though striker Mark Byrne scored his third goal of this season which gave the win.

It puts the team 5th in Section 2 of the first ever season of the under-17 league.

Sligo Rovers team: Callaghan, Morahan, Smith, Mahon, Hever, Feeney, Muldoon, Burke, McGrath, McGarry, Byrne.

They will be at home again next weekend playing St. Pat’s on Saturday.
