Under-19s get season underway

 

Sligo Rovers under-19s new season got underway today at The Showgrounds against Drogheda United.

The away team came out on top with a 2-1 win despite the Bit o’Red going ahead.

Captain Ross Taheny was the scorer from a Jason Hunt corner in the first half but a goal before half-time and another later on from Drogheda won the season opener.

Team: Byrne, O’Donoghue, Connolly, Doherty, Taheny, Walsh, Flanagan, Doyle, Hunt, Armstrong, Flatley.

Subs: Burke, Kennoy, Hannon, Anderson, Carney, McCallion, Place.
