Rovers v Longford: Programme

Sligo Rovers matchnight programme will be on sale as usual on Saturday night for the game with Longford Town at The Showgrounds.

The programme will be on sale as you enter the ground for the same price of €4.

In his manager notes Dave Robertson reflects on impressive outings for Rovers in recent games away from home against good sides in St. Pat’s and Dundalk.

The ‘Red All Over’ feature continues looking at the many dedicated followers we have at the club and this time it’s Zita Collier.

Our player feature interview is with promising full-back Tobi Adebayo-Rowling who is already making a big impression at The Showgrounds.

“We definitely have a great group and we have gelled really well since the first time that we all trained together. We have got a great team with good depth as you have good players competing for every position. I don’t know what it is that is preventing us from kicking on the way we should, maybe it is just that we need to be finishing the chances we create. If we start to do that then the results will come and we will kick on and hopefully we can start tonight against Longford by getting our first home league win.”

Alan Kirby talks with Leo Gray about his short but successful stint with Rovers.

“Looking back on things, I have no regrets. I had a terrific career, winning the Cup four times and finishing second in the League on three occasions, once with Sligo and twice with St. Pat’s. That’s not a bad record by any standards.”

Sligo Rovers under-19s manager discusses the season so far and the prospects of his young side.

There’s an interview with Mark Rossiter, the Sligo-born defender currently with Longford on his long career in the league as he prepares to face his home club.
