Wexford v Rovers: Team News

It’s FAI Cup weekend for Sligo Rovers with a trip to Wexford Youths.

The third round tie is at Ferrycarrig Park at 8pm.

The Bit o’Red made it through to this stage with a comfortable 3-0 win over First Division Cabinteely in The Showgrounds.

Meanwhile Wexford advanced by knocking out non-league Firhouse Clover away from home with the same score.

Most recently in the league Rovers had a devastating loss to Bohemians 3-2 with two late goals winning the game for the home side. Kieran Sadlier and Liam Martin had found the net for Rovers.

The defeat ended the excellent unbeaten run since the return after the mid-season break.

Included in that run was a big 5-0 win in Wexford just two weeks ago. It saw Sadlier get two with Daniel Kearns and Achille Campion scoring their first for the club. The other was by the joint-top scorer with Sadlier, Raff Cretaro.

Dave Robertson gets to welcome back Regan Donelon from a hamstring injury but will just be fit enough to take a place on the bench.
