Keohane latest to agree terms

Sligo Rovers can confirm our second signing of the week with midfielder Jimmy Keohane agreeing terms to join the squad.

Keohane is 24 years old and has previously played Bristol City, Exeter City and Woking in the U.K.

He is also a former Ireland under-19 international with five caps and one goal.

After beginning his career with Wexford Youths and playing 39 times at Ferrycarrig Park for two seasons he was signed by Championship club Bristol City.

Following one year with them he moved to League One club Exeter City and debuted for them against Liverpool in a League Cup tie on August 24 2011.

He enjoyed four successful years at St. James Park where he made 87 appearances and contributed 10 goals.

Keohane departed Exeter at the end of the 2014/15 season and signed with Woking scoring twice in 16 games including on his debut.

He follows Tim Clancy in committing to the club for 2016 this week to bring Dave Robertson’s squad to eight.

We can also confirm that Jeff Henderson will join the team for the first two weeks of pre-season training as his fitness is assessed.
