Rovers history book


With great anticipation surrounding the publication of the official club history later this year, supporters are being given a chance to pre-order a limited edition hard-back copy of the book. 

For a payment of €75, subscribers will be able to have their names, or someone nominated by them, inscribed in the supporters’ pages in the preface to the limited edition.

Subscribers to this exclusive publication will also be invited to the official launch of the book.

The official history will be the most detailed book ever produced about Sligo Rovers, a comprehensive season by season record from the formation of the club to the present day.

It will also include a series of interviews with former players, features on loyal volunteers and supporters, match reports from famous games, statistics and memorabilia,

The book is being compiled by Sligo Rovers Heritage Group, and Chairman Aidan Mannion predicts it will be a collector’s item: “The Official Club history will be the definitive reference book for all Sligo Rovers supporters. An enormous amount of work has been carried out in terms of conducting interviews, exploring records, tracking photos and mementoes.  We will launch the book in time for the Christmas 2016 market, and I have no doubt it will be a ‘must have’ gift for Rovers fans everywhere.”

If you have old Rovers photographs, records or mementoes, Sligo Rovers Heritage Group would like to talk you – any documents will be copied and the originals returned to the owner.

The regular paperbck edition will retail at €50.
