Eamon Reddy RIP

 

Sligo Rovers were saddened to hear of the recent passing of our former player Eamon Reddy.

All at the club would like to pass on our sympathies to his family and friends.

Reddy, from Abbey Street in Sligo town, made his Rovers debut on August 24 1952 and made 137 appearances scoring 25 goals for the club.

He was a former Irish youth international scoring three goals in two appearances against England including one at Goodison Park.

Funeral details are as follows:

Reposing at The Foley & McGowan Funeral home this evening from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to St. Anne’s Church. Funeral mass on Tuesday morning at 11am, with funeral proceeding afterwards to Sligo cemetery.
