Rovers v Harps: This Saturday

Sligo Rovers are back at The Showgrounds for the next SSE Airtricty League game against Finn Harps.

This will be the first time our north-west rivals have come to The Showgrounds in eight years.

Harps lone season in the top division in 2008 saw the Bit o’Red win all three encounters that season.

After finally getting promotion back last season Harps got off to a great start by beating Derry City at Finn Park.

But they have since lost at Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers got a win in Ballybofey 1-0 Monday night.

Rovers’ first point of the season was taken from the Connacht Derby against Galway United at The Showgrounds.

Liam Martin was the scorer of Rovers first goal of the season in the Galway game and he will look to help the Bit o’Red to a first win.

Rovers can welcome back Kieran Sadlier and Craig Roddan from suspension for the game.

It’s a game against one of our traditional rivals and is set for another fearsome clash.
