Roddan signs new contract

Sligo Rovers are delighted to announce that Craig Roddan has signed a new two year contact with the Bit o’Red.

The midfielder will now be at The Showgrounds until the end of the 2018 season.

Roddan is in his first season with the club having signed in January, a season in which he has become team captain.

The Liverpudlian first captained the team against Cork City on April 02.

The midfielder has firmly established himself in the team making 22 appearances to date.

23 year-old Roddan started his career with Liverpool spending seven years there following which he had spells at Carlisle United and Accrington Stanley before signing with Rovers.

Roddan’s signature continues the building of the squad for the future with eight players now signed for next season and beyond.

Micheal Schlingermann, Gary Boylan, Kieran Sadlier, Gary Armstrong, Daniel Kearns, Raff Cretaro and Tobi Adebayo-Rowling are so far signed for the 2017 season.
