Rovers v Harps: Preview

Sligo Rovers vs Finn Harps

SSE Airtricty League

Game 25

Saturday September 03 7:45pm

The Showgrounds

Lowdown

The third meeting of the season with Finn Harps.

The Donegal club hold the upper hand so far with a home win and a Showgrounds draw from last March.

But Rovers bring the longest unbeaten home run in the SSE Airtricity League at 11 games to the fixture.

Opposition

Finn Harps are performing strongly in the first season back in the Premier Division.

A bad recent run has seen five defeats in a row without scoring culminating in the most recent at home to Shamrock Rovers a week ago.

Their squad contains former Bit o’Red players in Richard Brush and Ruairi Keating.

Team news

Rovers: Suspended – Raffaele Cretaro & Craig Roddan

Finn Harps: Injured – Damien McNulty, Doubtful – Barry Molloy & Dave Scully

Quotes

Dave Robertson: “One key thing with the squad that we have is there is a lot of versatility. We have two starters out tomorrow but there is proven versatility on the group. The impact of someone like Kieran Sadlier off the bench against Galway gives me a selection headache and one that is really positive to have.

“I like how our form has been – we have taken 15 points out of a possible 18 to play for. We are very keen to keep that good run going. We have a lot to play for during the rest of the year”
