Rovers Vs Limerick

Sligo Rovers take on Limerick on Saturday night in The Showgrounds in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

The Bit O' Red begin the second series of fixtures looking to avenge a defeat to the Super Blues in February.

In team news, Daniel Kearns is ruled out with an ankle problem.

Manager Gerard Lyttle will take charge of his first home league game.

He said "There was a disappointment after losing a penalty shootout to Galway. We created more chances, had a goal incorrectly ruled out from our view and we were the better team. We switched off after we scored and there are lessons in taking your opportunities and having concentration at all times. I've been here two weeks and I see we are starting to press better and are improving as we become more familiar and get more ideas across. We have quite a settled team which is a positive and as I have stressed a couple of times, we need to build momentum.

"The 5-1 defeat to Limerick was a painful experience for everyone I imagine. We watched them last week against Derry so we got to see their shape in person and I'm going to ensure we stick to our own game plan and play our game against them.

"It will take time but we've had a good week of training, the mood is good and are making chances in games like we did in Drogheda and against Galway. We need to improve to start winning games and and that's our aim for Saturday."
