The Showgrounds will host a friendly match on Wednesday afternoon between a team representing the Sligo Traveller Support Group and players from Syria and Iraq currently based at the Emergency Reception and Orientation Centre (EROC) in Ballaghaderreen.

 Sligo Rovers wish to pass on our sympathies to the family of our former assistant manager Bobby Toland at the age of 87.  Bobby served as assistant manager to Patsy McGowan at The Showgrounds in the 1980s, including during the run to the FAI Cup final in 1981. May he rest in peace.
