Gary Rogers - Goalkeeper - Squad Number 1

Gary joined Rovers this season after spending the last three seasons at St. Patrick's Athletic. The Meath native has over a decade of league experience and commonly regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Gary was nominated for the Airtricity/Soccer Writers Association of Ireland Goalkeeper of the Year award along with Brendan Clarke and Ger Doherty in 2011.

Richard Brush - Goalkeeper - Squad Number 12

Richard is now entering his second spell with the club having spent the 2nd half of 2011 with Shamrock Rovers. The Birmingham native previously played for Rovers from 2006 to 2010, winning the FAI Cup and EA Sports Cup in that period.

Ciaran Kelly - Goalkeeper - Squad Number 23

Now in his second spell with the club, Ciaran started his career with Ballinrobe Town before moving to the Showgrounds. He also had spells with Derry City, Athlone Town and Galway United before re-joining Rovers in 2009. He famously saved four penalties in 2010's FAI Cup final penalty shootout versus Shamrock Rovers and repeated the feat by saving twoin last year's shootout versus Shelbourne. Ciaran will assume a player/coach role for this season.

Iarfhlaith Davoren - Defender - Squad Number 3

Having joined the club in 2010, Iarfhlaith ranks Galway United, Athlone Town and Longford Town as his former clubs. A talented left back, the Tullamore native has also represented Ireland at university level. Iarfhlaith scored the crucial equalising goal for Rovers in last year's FAI Cup final against Shelbourne.

Gavin Peers - Defender - Squad Number 4

A former Republic of Ireland U-23 international, Gavin enjoyed spells with Blackburn Rovers and Mansfield Town before signing for Sligo Rovers in 2006. Originally signed as a right back, Gavin is now a mainstay in the heart of the Rovers defence and regarded as one of the finest defenders in the country. Gavin is currently the longest serving player at the club.

Jason McGuinness - Defender - Squad Number 20

Jason joined Rovers from Bohemians in 2011. In his time at Bohs Jason won 5 trophies including 2 league titles. Jason brought great leadership qualities to a watertight Rovers defence that conceded only 19 league goals in 2011. The Dubliner also played his part at the other end of the pitch in last season's FAI cup scoring 3 crucial cup goals.

Colm McLaughlin - Defender - Squad Number 21

Colm is one the two first recipients of the club's joint scholarship scheme with IT Sligo. The left back played his youth football with Buncrana Hearts and is an Irish U-18 international. He has been on the bench for the first team whilst playing regularly with the Sligo Rovers U-19’s.

Alan Keane - Defender - Squad Number 2

Twice voted player of the year with his previous club Galway United, Alan is now into his fourth season with Sligo Rovers. A full back who can also play at centre-half, Alan has also chipped in with a number of important goals throughout his spell with the club. The Galwayman covers an amazing amount of ground as he regularly rampages up and down the right wing.

Danny Ventre - Midfielder - Squad Number 5

Danny is now entering his fifth season with the club having being signed by Paul Cook in the Summer of 2007. Danny is a versatile player who mainly plays in centre midfield but can fill in anywhere across the back 4. The Liverpudlian is an uncomprosing, hard working player who has improved as a player each season since he joined the club.

John Dillon - Midfielder - Squad Number 7

Dillon arrived in the pre-season of 2010 having previously played for Crewe Alexandria. An intelligent winger who is at home on the right, the Liverpool has wonderful technique. Although not always a consistent starter in 2011, John scored an impressive 10 goals from midfield.

Joesph N'do - Midfielder - Squad Number 15

Joseph joined the club in 2010 and did not take long to establish himself as a firm fans favourite. Joseph's experience and mercurial ability played a major part in the club's successes in 2010 and 2011. One of the finest players ever to play in the league, Joseph also has the distinction of having being part of two Cameroon world squads in 1998 and 2002.

Lee Lynch - Midfielder -Squad Number 16

Lee joined the club earlier this year from Drogheda United. The Limerick native spent the second half of last season at Drogheda and made a big impact in his brief time at the club. Lee began his career at West Bromwich Albion where he played as a winger. In 2010 Lee earned a scholarship at Glenn Hoddle's Academy where he developed into an energetic and skillful centre midfielder.

Pascal Millien - Midfielder - Squad Number 14

Pascal is a Haitian international who signed for Rovers after impressing as a trialist in pre-season this year. Pascal's last club was FC Tampa Bay. Pascal introduced himself to The Showgrounds faithful in spectacular style with a stunning goal versus Athlone in a pre-season game. Hopefully we will see many more spectacular goals as well as Pascal's spectacular celebration this season.

David Cawley - Midfielder - Squad Number 22

The 20 year old is a Ballina native who signed for the club this season having last played with Ipswich. David is a tidy midfielder who is not afraid to get stuck in when necessary.

'Rommy' is now entering his third spell with the club having spent 2011 at Shanghai East Asia. The Benin international is incredibly versatile having played in defence, midfield and a striker for the club. Rommy's pace and tremendous ability will be a massive addition to the team in 2012.

Ross Gaynor - Midfielder - Squad Number 11

The Ardee native joins the club this year from Dundalk. Ross is a former Republic of Ireland under 21 and under 23 international. Ross normally plays on the left side of midfield but is more than capable of filling in at left back or up front. Ross possesses one of the deadliest set piece deliveries in the league.

Danny North - Striker - Squad Number 27

Danny joins Rovers this seaon having spent the last 2 season at St. Pat's. Danny is one of the most accomplished finishers in the league scoring 15 league goals for St. Pat's in 2011. Danny will expect to be one of the topscorers in the league again this season. Danny began his career at his hometown club Grimsby Town and also played for Alfreton Town.

Mark Quigley - Striker - Squad Number 9

Mark is without doubt one of the most talented players to have played in the league in recent years. The Dubliner began his senior career at Milwall and returned to Ireland in 2005 when he signed for Shamrock Rovers. Since then Mark has played for St. Pat's, Bohs and Dundalk. In 2011 Mark scored 19 goals in all competitions for Dundalk, many of them being goal of the season contenders.

Raffaelle Cretaro - Striker - Squad Number 10

'Raff' went down in Rovers folklore last season when he scored the final penalty that won us the FAI Cup. The Tubbercurry native is now in his third spell at the club having re-joined from Bohs in 2011. At the start of 2012 Raff was the eight highest scorer in the history of the club. Hopefully after a successful 2012 he will have edged closer to the top.

Liam Martin - Striker - Squad Number 18

Liam is one the two first recipients of the club's joint scholarship scheme with IT Sligo. Liam is an Irish U-17 international player and previously played with Donegal Town. The Donegalman has been prolific for our udner 19 team and also for IT Sligo. Liam made his senior debut for the club in October 2011.

Mark McGoldrick - Striker - Squad Number 17 

The young striker made his debut in 2010 after sensational seasons with the 'A' and Under-20 teams. He scored his first Rovers goal against Monaghan United in the FAI Cup in 2010. Mark spent part of last season on loan at Finn Harps and will hope to make an impact this season.
