Anais Coyne re-signs for 2023

Sligo Rovers are thrilled to announce the re-signing of goalkeeper Anais Coyne ahead of the new 2023 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season.

The American joined the Bit O’Red last summer having opted to make the move to Ireland instead of playing college football in her native US.

Coyne, originally from Texas, played high school football with Mansfield Legacy High School and played for her club BKSC.

Manager Steve Feeney is happy to have the experienced goalkeeper in the squad this season:

‘’Anais has been a great addition to the squad since arriving here last year.

‘’She is popular among the squad and herself and the other goalkeepers are training well together and all playing for the number one shirt this year.

‘’We are looking forward to working with Anais again this season’’.

Bit O’ Red Season Tickets are available now for just €50 for the season. You won’t miss a kick in the Women’s Premier Division and you can buy your tickets online via the link below

Coyne is happy to be back with Rovers this season:

‘’I’m delighted to be signing again with Sligo Rovers.

‘’I’m happy to be getting back into it and I look forward to each training session.

‘’My goals, as with any club, are to just continue to develop and improve and I hope to see the team do well in the League this season.”

Anais was part of the Bit O’ Red team in last weekend’s pre-season friendly against Athlone Town and will travel to take on the Midlanders again tomorrow away from home.
